89th FFA State Convention April 22nd-25th!

 FFA Chapter Banquet May 17th!

FFA Information from our very own FFA Chapter Reporter:

The first thing we have is the Drive-thru BBQ. We will begin to hand out tickets on March 14th and have the return date for April 2nd. The barbeque will be taking place on April 12th from 4:00 to 6;30 p.m. The cost per ticket is $10 and we will be handing out the dinners in the NU Theatre Parking Lot. All of the food is completely prepped, prepared and packaged by students enrolled in an Agricultural education class, and all the proceeds go to helping kids pay for contests, equipment and leadership conferences. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and we hope to have a great outcome.

We also have the 89th California State Convention coming up on April 22nd through the 25th. The chapter will be taking 15 students to travel down to Anaheim and experience this amazing conference. These students will get the chance to fly in an airplane, listen to multiple motivational speakers such as Jesse Lebeau, meet the 2018 State Officer team, and even get to spend a night in Disneys California Adventure theme park! This is one of the biggest conferences out chapter members get to be apart of and we are very excited to see what leadership skills they bring home with them!

And lastly, we also have our end of the year banquet on May 17! This is the time we use to celebrate all of our member's accomplishments over the last year! This year we have decided that the theme would be "Create Your Own Legacy" in honor of our 60-year anniversary.  We take this highlight those new members who were selected for the 2018-2019 Chapter Officer Team, announce our Star Famers, Star Greenhands, and Star administrators. As well as enjoy delicious food cooked and served by our very own chapter members. This is a night all about our members and take the time to honor them all.
