CAASPP & CAST Testing

The California Department of Education has established the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) system and California Science Tests (CAST) to measure student progress and generate data to improve teaching and learning.  More information about the test is available on the CA Dept. of Education website www.cde.ca.gov/ta/tg/ca/
 
These tests will be given to 11th grade (Juniors only) students at Nevada Union High School March 20 - 24, 2017.
 
The following special schedule is in place for this testing week:
 
Concurrently 9th grade (Freshman) students will be participating in a Health Unit which is part of their spring semester Freshman PE class during this week from 8:30-11:00 Monday-Thursday and 8:30-10:30 Friday.
 
0 period classes will meet on Tuesday and Thursday only (7:30 - 8:25 a.m.)
 
10th grade (Sophomore) and 12th grade (Seniors) are welcome to arrive at 8:30 and study or participate in supervised activities.  Alternatively, they are not required to arrive until their regular classes start (11:00 Monday - Thursday, 10:30 Friday).
 
Durham Transportation (bus) routes will run at the regularly scheduled times.
