NUHS: Symptom Checks & Testing Clarification

August 30, 2021

Good morning Miners and Miner families. This is Kelly Rhoden, Principal of Nevada Union High School with a quick clarification for all. We completed the testing we are capable of doing for students this past week. At this point we do not have the capacity to continue to test students on a regular basis or that may be symptomatic. We ask that families take care of this at home. Please do symptom checks with students every morning. If they are feeling symptomatic please keep them home. If there is a need to test the following options are available free of charge in the community. Nevada Union High School will not be testing students at this time.
Testing Location Options:
  • www.MyNevadaCounty.com to register for a test or vaccinations
  • Western Sierra Medical Clinic:  https://wsmcmed.org/ or call 530-274-9762
  • Some of our Local Pharmacies are also able to test or give vaccinations by appointment: CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens
  • See your Family Physician
We ask that all students, families, and community members that visit the Nevada Union Campus complete symptom checks on their own and wear a mask when indoors. The District and County Guidelines can be found on the District website as well as on our NU Miners website, home page:  www.numiners.com.
Thank you! We appreciate your support. Stay healthy NU!
