March Meeting: Mental Wellness for Students and Families
We look forward to seeing you there!
Tuesday, March 9, 2021
This meeting is for all of us. We can all use a little support and direction during this time of change, unpredictability, hardship, fear, confusion, stress, sadness, weakness, and challenges. We need to understand we are not alone going through this. We need to acknowledge that life right now is hard for each of us. Each family's hard doesn't have to look like someone else's hard for it to be true and real.
Please join us via Zoom on Tuesday, March 9th, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. to feel support from other parents and from our valuable STARS, Student Assistance Resources and Services team. The STARS team is knowledgeable in emotional and physical wellbeing and they have accessible resources that you can use now, today. You can check out their Nevada Union Wellness Guide here:
This meeting is for you to ask questions that are relevant to you related to mental health and wellness topics. You will be able to do this either live on the Zoom meeting, or via the chat feature on Zoom, and/or by sending the questions ahead of time to our email, firstname.lastname@example.org. The Zoom meeting will be recorded and will be made available for you to watch if you can't make the meeting.

What's New? The NU Parents club (NUPC) would like to share the recording of our last general parent meeting, held on September 30, 2020. There is a wealth of information on the recording. We are lucky to have such supportive administration and school staff. We hosted Principal, Kelly Rhoden, all four of the school counselors [Candyce Farber, Nicole Scott, Marylou Brigham and Jenifer Layton], as well as Linda Melugin, the high school scholarship coordinator.
Please watch the recording and share the info with your friends/family that have high school students.
