Nevada Union High School

We offer support classes that will give students the opportunity to meet with their math teacher everyday rather than every other day as prescribed by the block schedule.  Students may enroll in Integrated 1 Math Lab or Integrated 2 Math Lab.  These are elective courses and will count as elective credits.  In these classes students can expect to review and preview topics specific to their math courses, as well as build skills in areas that are essential to their learning in their math courses.

 

Our department is focused on using data driven assessments to identify students that are in need of additional support.  These students will be pulled into FLEX to be given targeted intervention to help support their learning. Targeted interventions will happen throughout the year, but will be determined and implemented by the teacher teams for each course.

 

We also offer quiet work spaces for students who are in need of additional time and support with their work.  Students have the ability to sign up for any math teacher, as we are all able to support them in their course work, and we recommend that students seek out alternative teachers in the event that their teacher is not available.

 

Tutoring is available both before and after school.
