COLD WATER FACTS:

It takes less than 1/2 cup of water in a person's lungs to drown.
On an average year (3,000 cfs) Nevada County Rivers have five drownings.
This year's projected flow is expected to reach in excess of 8,000 cfs.
Current water temperatures are around 50 degrees and they will continue to decrease into the upper 40's.
