An advanced class in automotive technologies offers instruction in all eight A.S.E. (Automotive Service Excellence) areas, introduction to on-board computers and testing, smog control testing procedures, engine overhaul and automotive technologies. Internship opportunities may include: auto dealerships, automotive repair or body shops, retail parts businesses, machine shops, brake and front end shops, motorcycle repair shops or specialty shops. Employment opportunities may include automotive machinist’s helper, engine specialist, auto technician apprentice, brake and front end specialist, auto body/paint apprentice, collision repair, parts and inside sales, and emission control technician.
