This course does not meet college admission requirements. Entry-Level finance course designed to review basic math skills and their application in a consumer setting. Topics included are income, money management, spending, credit, savings and investing.
Essential Learning Outcomes (ELOs):
By the end of this course students will be able to:
Solve one, two, and multi-step linear equations.
Solve one, two, and multi-step inequalities.
Define the slope of a linear equation in a real world context.
Write and graph linear equations.
Solve systems of linear equations and inequalities.
Use the properties of exponents to manipulate exponential and radical expressions.
Add, subtract, multiply, and factor polynomials.
Solve, factor, and graph quadratic equations.
Use The Pythagorean Theorem and its inverse to solve geometric problems.
Manipulate radical expressions and solve radical equations.
Manipulate rational expressions and solve rational equations.
Open to 11th and 12th grade students only who have successfully completed Algebra 1 (or equivalent or higher). This course does not meet college admission requirements.
