Integrated Math 1

This course does not meet college admission requirements. Entry-Level finance course designed to review basic math skills and their application in a consumer setting. Topics included are income, money management, spending, credit, savings and investing.
 
Essential Learning Outcomes (ELOs):
By the end of this course students will be able to:
 
  • Solve one, two, and multi-step linear equations.
  • Solve one, two, and multi-step inequalities. 
  • Define the slope of a linear equation in a real world context.
  • Write and graph linear equations.
  • Solve systems of linear equations and inequalities.
  • Use the properties of exponents to manipulate exponential and radical expressions.
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and factor polynomials.
  • Solve, factor, and graph quadratic equations.
  • Use The Pythagorean Theorem and its inverse to solve geometric problems.
  • Manipulate radical expressions and solve radical equations.
  • Manipulate rational expressions and solve rational equations.
  • Interpret and solve real world problems.
