Intro to Art Studio is a multimedia art course designed for Freshmen and Sophomores to explore various mediums and techniques to foster a lifelong appreciation for the arts. Course will incorporate drawing, painting, ceramics, photo, collage, printmaking, art history, and other mixed mediums to gain experience utilizing a wide variety of art techniques. Art Studio offers students an opportunity to be creative and learn how making art can help promote mindfulness and provide positive ways to express themselves through art. This course provides the VAPA Standards-based instruction needed to advance to other Visual Art courses including: Drawing/Paint Workshop, Photography and Ceramics.
