Practical English 4 is your 12th-grade English class.
Course Description and Objectives:
- Students read and analyze a variety of literary and nonfiction texts, exploring the characteristics and techniques authors use to achieve their purpose.
- Language study extends a student's vocabulary in learning about connotations, denotations, word origins, and structures.
- Students apply their understanding of grammar, capitalization, punctuation, spelling, sentence structure, and paragraphing in frequent writing assignments.
- Students build on their understanding of writing as a process of prewriting, drafting, revising, and publishing.
- Communication skills are developed through oral presentations.
