To participate in our Summer practices, all new and returning NUHS student athletes must be registered and “Approved” in FamilyID. To be “Approved” in FamilyID you need to successfully register and email a scanned copy of a clear Sports Physical from your health care provider on or after May 19, 2021 to Suzanne Bernadett, ASB/Athletics Technician at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Important Information: Boys Water Polo is a Fall sport - the official season starts when school starts. We are looking for new freshmen and sophomore players. NO experience is necessary to enjoy and excel in Water Polo. If you can throw, swim, or have played team sports, this may be the sport for you. Water Polo is Fun! It is a great cross training sport for Basketball, Lacrosse, Soccer, Swimming, Snowboarding, Wrestling (and more!).
Basketball - Incoming Freshman Dates: June 21 - July 25 Time: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays; 5pm to 7pm Where: Ali Gym, NUHS Important Information: These summer practices are for prospective Freshman Boys Basketball student-athletes. Student-athletes will learn the NU Miner system, develop their Basketball skill set and acumen, and work together to accomplish team goals. We will likely compete in at least 3 tournaments over the summer session. While summer practices are the best way to improve and get ready for the season, they do not play a role in determining who is on the Winter roster. Important Information: Players should wear shorts, t-shirt, and tennis shoes to practice. They will also be required to bring cleats and their own water bottle that has their name on it. We run our summer practice this early so that players who work or play other sports won't have conflicts.

Important Information: The NU Girls Basketball program is excited to welcome new and returning student-athletes to our Summer program. We will workout primarily out of West Gym and have a number of competitions already scheduled. The days and times of our workouts and games, and our Summer Shooting Clinic will be forthcoming.
To keep our young community active, engaged, and developing their program-specific skills, the NUHS Athletics department is offering the following learning opportunities this summer. These opportunities are open to the public to participate in and directly benefit the young men and women who attend, as well as the programs who execute them. Each camp has specific information and steps for participation. Each camp will also adhere to current Covid protocols.
Football - QBs - WRs - RBs Non-Contact Skills Camp
Dates: June 6th & June 13th
Time: 1pm - 3pm
Where: Hooper Stadium, NUHS
Age Group: 10-14 years old
Cost: $30 per day; $50 for both days
Important Information: Calling all offensive skill positions! Come learn new skills and techniques directly from the NU Miner Coaching staff to be the best that you can be! This 1 or 2 day, non-contact, skills camp will be a great way to get ready for the 2021 Fall Football season, make some new friends, and have a lot of fun in the process. Make sure your son or daughter comes dressed appropriately in T-shirt and shorts, wearing athletic shoes, and brings a water bottle with their name on it. We also adhere to Covid protocols so please make sure your son or daughter arrives wearing a mask or face covering. They will only wear them when they are not engaged in cardiovascular activity. Masks will be on hand in the event it is needed.

NU Kids Co-Ed Water Polo Summer Training - Ages 10 - 14
Dates: June 15 - July 22 - No July 4th camp activity
Time: Mondays, Tuesdays, & Thursday; 4pm to 6pm

Important Information: The NU Boys Water Polo Head Coach, Lotty Hellested, and staff are hosting a month long co-ed summer training program for boys and girls aged 10-14. Come learn the game of Water Polo, hone your skills, have fun with friends, and try something new! New players are welcome! Try it, it’s fun!

Important Information: This 5-day camp is designed to develop the skill set of incoming 6th, 7th, 8th, & 9th graders interested in Volleyball. Instruction in proper technique for all basic skills, plus a variety of group and game situation drills and team play. Offensive and defensive systems will be presented. Come learn directly from current and former Nevada Union Volleyball coaches and players! This camp is recommended but not required for those who want to play in high school.
Cost: $50 - Payment and paperwork due 1st day of the Camp
Important Information: This is a chance for BOYS, entering grades 7-10 to receive instruction on proper technique for all basic skills. This will involve group and game situation drills and team play. Instructors are current volleyball players and coaches. All proceeds go to support the NU Boys Volleyball Program. Important Information: This 5-day camp in mid-July is a perfect way to hone your daughter's skillset and learn the ethos of the NU Girls Basketball program: "Great teams consist of great individuals." Hosted by Head Varsity Coach Dave Kramer and staff, GIRLS going into 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades will receive quality instruction in all facets of the game. This is a great way to meet new friends and have a lot of fun!
